Meet the Dentists
Terry E. Rumas, DMD
After growing up in New Jersey, Dr. Rumas attended Northeastern University, where she was on the Dean's List for every academic quarter. She achieved a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy in 1982 and graduated cum laude. She worked as a hospital pharmacist for many years at University Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital, both of which are in Boston, before returning to school to truly make a difference and work face-to-face with the patients she cares so much about! Dr. Rumas then continued her studies at Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1988. She’s worked alongside Dr. Englander for over 25 years and bought the practice in 2010.
Dr. Rumas is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Her awards include:
- Elected to membership in Rho Chi, National Pharmacy Honor Society
- National Dean's List 1982
- Elected to membership Omicron Kappa Upsilon, National Dental Honor Society
- The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Award – 1988
- Being voted as one of America’s Top Dentists in 2011 and 2012
Dr. Rumas loves being a dentist! Between connecting with patients and being the person who helps alleviate their pain, Dr. Rumas also enjoys the cosmetic work that she performs for a patient’s smile, as well as building long-lasting relationships with patients who are like family to her. Above all, Dr. Rumas loves making a positive impact on the health of her patients. Dr. Rumas truly loves her team, who she describes as warm and caring people who have a good sense of humor.
When she’s not actively making a difference in the lives of her patients, Dr. Rumas enjoys spending time with her young twin sons. To relax, she likes gardening, reading, travelling, and collecting antique perfume bottles.
Abraham M. Englander, DMD
Dr. Englander grew up in New York, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Queens College in New York City. He then excelled at his studies at Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1970. After serving his country in the United States Air Force, Dr. Englander then completed post-graduate studies in oral pathology from 1972 to 1973. Dr. Englander then successfully opened up his own solo dental practice, where he still works today!
Dr. Englander is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the New England Dental Society. Dr. Englander loves everything about his job, and enjoys caring for each of his patients. His professional awards and accomplishments include:
- A Reader’s Choice Award as the #1 Dentist in Milford in 2011 and 2013
- Publication in the Journal of Dental Research
- Lectured at the Air Force Hospital in Alaska
- Lectured at the Needham Study Group
Dr. Englander is happily married to his beautiful wife, Carol. Outside of the office, Dr. Englander enjoys skiing, playing tennis, and golfing.
